Just wanted to note, I had an article published in Canadian Quilter magazine. My friend Renske coordinated an African-themed quilt, now called “Threads of Africa”, destined for charity auction at the next Mennonite Relief Sale in May 2015. She asked me to write an article about the quilt, to submit to the magazine published by the Canadian Quilters Association (CQA). I did, and the editor sent me a complimentary copy of the magazine.
I wish I’d made a block for the quilt myself, but unfortunately I felt already overwhelmed by what I had on my plate, and I didn’t have any burning ideas, either. I think, in part, I was worried my block wouldn’t be good enough. But she had more than enough blocks for the quilt, and I still contributed to the project by writing the article.
Now we wait and see how the auction goes this spring!
